The U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) has awarded TASC, Inc. a $40.5 million contract to provide cost-estimating services to the Cost Estimating and Analysis Division. The five-year contract has a one-year base, two option years and two award-term years.
“For decades, TASC has supported the Navy as well as the space and systems commands for the Department of Defense and intelligence community,” says Tom Kilcline, vice president of TASC’s Defense Business Unit. “As TASC continues to expand its support to SPAWAR and the System Centers, we look forward to helping SPAWAR develop sound business and investment strategies to strengthen the Navy’s information-dominance capability.”
To meet the contract requirements, TASC has teamed with Telecote Research, Kalman and Company, Project Time & Cost, Cask Technology, Level 4 Ventures and Programmatics Engineering Group, Inc.
“Our goal is to give senior leaders the information they need to make credible and defensible financial decisions that will significantly advance SPAWAR’s mission objectives and optimize its systems investments,” says Scott Heefner, vice president of TASC’s Financial and Business Analytics Center of Excellence. “By balancing the conflicting demands of growing performance expectations and shrinking budgets, our government customers can successfully navigate today’s affordability challenge.”
