UK Healthcare, a leading provider of personal and corporate health cash plans, has donated cash to Kidz2gether, a Bolton based charity supporting youngsters in the community affected by autism and autistic spectrum disorders.
Kidz2gether provide support for children within mainstream education, aged 5 to 16, who suffer social and communication difficulties as a result of autism and autistic spectrum disorders. The organisation also supports their families and carers within the wider community. Through a range of services, including drop-ins, workshops, clubs, activities and events, Kidz2gether aims to promote greater understanding of these conditions; and encourage physical and emotional wellbeing in children affected by them.
They do so by providing a wide variety of regular events and activities in which children can participate. The latest events hosted by Kidz2gether include roller skating and magic workshops, canoeing activities and horse riding sessions. These activities stimulate children who suffer from autism and autistic spectrum disorders, and encourage key motor skills and physical development; as well as encouraging increased social interaction. Importantly, they’re also a lot of fun.
The organisation relies upon charitable donations in order to offer these activities, and the support of companies such as UK Healthcare is essential to the services that Kidz2gether provide.
UK Healthcare donated much needed cash support to Kidz2gether to enable them to continue providing much needed facilities for the children and their families that they support. The health cash plan providers enjoyed a record breaking year of fundraising; providing more than £56,000 to health related charities from all over the UK. The company aims to improve on this figure throughout 2013.
Personal and corporate health cash plans from UK Healthcare allow policy holders to claim back the money they spend on a wide range of medical services, including dental and optical checkups, X-Rays, health screenings, medical prescriptions and hospital stays, up to agreed policy limits. Thousands of customers have benefitted from health insurance with the organisation over many years, just as a variety of non-profit charitable organisations have benefitted from their support.
