Contemporary Services Corporation (CSC), the world leader in crowd management and event security, will provide services this weekend at the 39th Annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. CSC will provide over 200 employees for security and ushering services at the entry gates, pit lane, pit suites, seaside suites, Toyota Pro/Celebrity compound, ALMS paddock area, IZOD IndyCar pit area, Tecate at Lagoon Park sponsor area, Marina Park start and finish line, Arena Park sponsor area, Tequila Patrón VIP area, Aston Martin VIP area, and ALMS VIP club. Round three of the 2013 IZOD IndyCar Series, the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach runs on a 1.97-mile, 11-turn temporary circuit winding through the streets of downtown Long Beach, with both the start and finish lines on Shoreline Drive.
Sunday afternoon’s IZOD IndyCar Series race will feature an international field of world-class drivers expected to include defending Series champion Ryan Hunter-Reay, four-time Series champ Dario Franchitti, defending Long Beach winner Will Power, Helio Castroneves, Graham Rahal, Marco Andretti, and Scott Dixon. Other events throughout the weekend include a Firestone Indy Lights race, an American Le Mans Series race, the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race, and the Motegi Racing Super Drift Challenge, which will become the event’s first-ever night race. With over 170,000 spectators attending throughout the weekend, the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach is one of the largest paid spectator special events in Southern California and the largest single event held in the city of Long Beach. A client since 2008, CSC is contracted to provide services for the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach through 2014, under the direction of Dwight Tanaka – Vice President/Director of Operations, Christopher Allen – Manager of Operations/Race Central, and Mark Platt – Security Administrator.
