Having skilled medical professionals who speak Russian and services that are culturally enriching are a wonderful benefit for this community.
Brighton MA (PRWEB) April 22, 2013
Brighton House Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Brighton, MA, will open a new Russian Program late Spring 2013. The program is in direct response to the growing needs of the large community of Russian-speaking residents in Boston’s Allston/Brighton neighborhood. Brighton House, a Welch Healthcare and Retirement Group skilled nursing center, strategically located in the heart of Allston/Brighton’s Russian-speaking community, will be offering Russian-speaking patients and their families a wide array of services. The services will be specific to the cultural and linguistic needs of the local Russian population. Massachusetts is home to more than 40,000 Russian-speaking residents.
“Having skilled medical professionals who speak Russian and services that are culturally enriching are a wonderful benefit for this community,” says Brighton House Rehabilitation and Nursing Center Administrator Ann Marie Jaworski.
The program’s new Medical Advisor, Dr. Alexandre Alexeyenko, will be working closely with the local hospitals and Russian-speaking medical community addressing the needs of the Russian population at Brighton House Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Alexeyenko, a 1985 graduate of Sechenov First Moscow Medical School, completed his residency at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, Massachusetts. Alexeyenko’s private practice, with office locations in Brighton and Lynn, specializes in services to the Russian speaking immigrant community.
The program is a natural progression of the successful care currently provided to the many Russian-speaking residents of Brighton House. Jenya Krein, the program’s director, will work closely with a Russian-speaking staff to address the specific cultural and linguistic needs of the nursing center’s Russian population.
Special features of the program will include:
