Cynopsis Sports Announces Winners of Sports Media Awards Honoring the Year’s Top Sports Programs, Campaigns and People

CBS Sports, ESPN, FOX Sports, NBC Sports, Turner Sports and CSE were among the winners who received multiple honors at the second annual Cynopsis Sports Media Awards held April 17 in New York City. The reception rewarded the most outstanding work in the sports media industry over the past year with categories that spanned television series, radio, live events, digital, marketing and more.

Cynopsis Sports also honored four executives who changed the way their sports entities connected with fans around the country. Steve Bornstein, President and CEO of the NFL Network and Executive VP of Media for the NFL, was this year's Legacy Award winner, recognizing a career that changed sports media. In addition, Scott Blackmun, CEO of the United States Olympic Committee, received the Vision Award as Sports Executive of the Year. John Kosner, ESPN’s Executive VP & GM of Digital and Print Media, received the Award of Distinction as the Sports Network Executive of the Year, and Scott McCune, VP of Global Partnerships at the Coca-Cola Company, was the recipient of the first-ever Gem Award, which pays tribute to the Consumer Brand of the Year.
