Morris Animal Inn's Canine Weight Loss and Fitness Program Featured on "Spoiled Rotten Pets" on Nat Geo WILD.

Pet owners want their animal companions to be spoiled. Pets are family members and nothing is too good for them. - Joanne Morris, vice president of Morris Animal Inn

Morris Animal Inn,the five-star luxury resort and spa for pets located in Morristown, N.J., will be featured in Nat Geo WILD’s new television series, “Spoiled Rotten Pets” on Saturday, May 4 at 9 p.m. Morris Animal Inn’s pampering amenities and fitness program will be spotlighted.

Nat Geo WILD’s new pet series spotlights some of the most outrageous and hilarious examples of pets that are completely and utterly spoiled rotten by owners who know it, and own it, in the wildly fun new series hosted by Beth Stern, according to a Nat Geo WILD news release.

“Pet owners want their animal companions to be spoiled, and we enjoy pampering our four-legged guests,” said Joanne Morris, vice president of Morris Animal Inn. “Pets are family members and nothing is too good for them.”

In the May 4 episode, Stern tours a picturesque farm in Morristown, N.J. with owner Mike and his companion, Chase, the supposed “working” dog on the farm. Except that’s not what Stern finds as she picks corn and pumpkins while this lazy dog hangs out on “fly patrol”. The spoiled canine heads to the exclusive Morris Animal Inn to get back in shape. Chase is put through the paces of a customized fitness regimen that includes pampering as well.

More than half of all dogs and cats in the U.S. are considered overweight or obese, according to the Association for Pet Obesity Prevention. An estimated 80 million dogs and cats tip the scales as overweight or obese, a condition that can negatively impact pet health.
