The biometric software deployment is meant to help stop fraud and establish a concrete audit trail of transactions.
Designed to limit fraud and the resale of stolen items, some U.S. jurisdictions require retail establishments that are licensed to accept trade-in merchandise to capture customer fingerprints. RadioShack® recently began accepting second-hand merchandise at select stores throughout the country and was seeking a convenient, affordable, user-friendly way to capture customer fingerprints and comply with the law.
Impressed with its affordability, plug-and-play practicality, and ease of deployment, RadioShack® turned to the M2SYS Bio-Plugin™ Image Capture Software solution to capture and create a raw image file from a scanned fingerprint.
