Eng. is working with RISK as a Senior Principal Engineer. Added staff will enable RISK, Inc. to assist more companies with hazard reviews and safety audits to prevent industrial incidents.
Mr. Kawai is a Process Safety Management (PSM) professional with 26 years of experience in Operations, Process Engineering, Quality Management and PSM consulting in the oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical, nuclear and manufacturing sectors. He has in-depth experience with developing and implementing PSM programs, facilitating PHAs and LOPAs, training, incident investigation, and quality management systems.
Formerly with IHS/Dyadem, his background includes providing training on HAZOP methodology, PHA leadership, LOPA methodology as well as customizing and configuring Dyadem’s PHA-Pro software for specific client templates. As a Process Safety and Quality Manager at Honeywell, he developed and implemented a PSM program and maintained the Quality Management System to ensure continuous improvement and compliance for a hydrofluoric acid production facility. His direct plant background also includes nuclear, nitrogen fertilizer and polyurethane foam facilities.
Mr. Kawai will support both US and international projects. He has worked with a wide variety of facilities and processes and will be a valued addition to the RISK team.
