According to court documents, on March 15 co-independent executors of the Estate of a deceased man filed a lawsuit in Texas Eastern District Court (case no. 1:2013cv00152) alleging he suffered severe gastrointestinal bleeding after being prescribed Pradaxa and died. Pradaxa, manufactured by Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, is mainly used as a blood thinner for patients who are at risk for stroke or atrial fibrillation. In the lawsuit plaintiffs claim that the deceased was prescribed Pradaxa in March 2011 and a few days later he suffered uncontrollable bleeding resulting in his death.

Another lawsuit was filed on March 26 in Illinois Southern District Court (case no. 3:2013cv50156) by a woman alleging her mother suffered gastrointestinal bleeding from Pradaxa and died.

Taking into consideration the latest developments, AttorneyOne.com updated the website and, now, can actively provide an expert opinion including how to get in contact with legal counsel easily and inexpensively in case of alleged Pradaxa severe complications.
