Steve Long and Jared Woolever of Smart Group Training, a company dedicated to improving the quality of small group and semi-private personal training, will be giving a presentation today at the Elite Training Workshop in Hudson, MA.

Long and Woolever, who co-founded the small group personal training company in 2012, are planning on appearing at the event, which is going to take place at Cressey Performance near Boston in Hudson, MA. The duo will be featured at the event alongside 5 other fitness industry leaders there to help attendees grow their businesses.

“We have done a couple events like this before, and we are excited to hopefully get through to a new audience eager to learn how to expand their training offerings,” says Long. “We want people to see that group training can be a completely viable option for most personal trainers.”

The result of a unique collaboration between two dedicated group training experts, Smart Group Training seeks to educate personal trainers throughout the world about the benefits of group and semi-private personal training.

In addition to appearing at live events like the Elite Training Workshop, the company’s founders offer free content in online blogs, sell information products, and conduct hands-on coaching sessions. All of these efforts aim to teach group training concepts to a wide audience.

“Some trainers don’t understand that small group training sessions still need a grounding in the same quality of service and individual programming as one on one training” Woolever says. “To do this, it is crucial to be able to assess and correct people’s movement patterns without losing sight of the needs of the group as a whole.”

Today at the Elite Training Workshop in Hudson, MA, Long and Woolever will give an overview of how the trainers in attendance can meet the needs of group clients without sacrificing the individual attention of one-on-one training.

Joining Long and Woolever at the event will be renowned resistance band training expert Dave Schmitz, client injury specialist Tony Gentilcore, strength and conditioning expert Mike Robertson, high profile trainer Mike Reinold, and Eric Cressey, the owner of the gym where the event will transpire.

“If today’s event is anything like past events hosted by the Fitness Consulting Group, we know that we are going to meet some of the most passionate and dedicated people working in fitness today,” Jared Woolever says.

Long and Woolever will be giving a presentation on small group and semi-private personal training today at the Elite Training Workshop in Hudson, MA. The event is hosted by the Fitness Consulting Group.
