Private Investigators London give information regarding investigation services in light of recent The Telegraph report dated 19th April: Nurse ran ‘1970's-style’ ward and served custard laced with medication

The case involving Janet Foster is the sort of investigation case that, in my professional opinion, could be carried out by a private detective

According to The Telegraph report Southern Cross Healthcare nurse, Janet Foster, ran the Richard Wing at the Victoria House Care Centre in Stockton-on –Tees from 2006 to 2010 is facing a string of charges that were found proved at a Nursing and Midwifery Council (MMC) hearing in central London (case number 75U5103E). If Mrs Foster is found guilty of misconduct she will be barred from nursing.

The Telegraph report goes on to say that when investigators visited Victoria House they found that none of the improvements in mental health care had reached Richard Wing and medication was being administered covertly without the necessary processes being followed. Some patients were allegedly suffering dramatic weight loss because of the strict way Mrs Foster ran the wing, such as breakfast was not served to patients until they were out of bed and dressed.

Susan Lowe, a service quality inspector at Southern Cross who led an investigation into standards at Victoria House said:

“Jam sandwiches with medication in were given to patients without it being explained to patients what was happening and if they understood”.

Mrs Foster was dismissed from the home in Stockton-on –Tees in March 2010 after a later inspection revealed continuing problems on her ward.
