The new Panobike iPhone 5 Ultimate bike computer was the brainchild of Rusty Squire, President of the Heart Rate Watch Company, and it is proving extremely popular for 2013.
"The bottom line is that customers like buying bundles, so they don't have to hunt down all the compatible parts and accessories they will need," says Squire. He adds, "The quality of the Panobike mounts with tilt, panoramic views and the accessories like the Bluetooth Smart heart rate strap plus speed and cadence sensors is the best we have found."
Battery Due Back in Mid-June
Panobike grossly underestimated the popularity of their new extended life battery that boosts the battery life of iPhone by 300%. "This device hangs underneath the stem, so it is out of the way, and it does not make the total bike computer stack too high," says Squire.
The battery will be back in early to mid-June, so until then the standard iPhone bike computer for metrics is available, but GPS use is not recommended without the extended life battery, according to Squire.
Change the Tilt and the View
Two of the unique features about the Panobike RideCase For iPhone 5 are its ability to tilt to reduce glare and its ability to go panoramic, features that no other iPhone 5 bike case has. "This has made the offering quite popular," says Squire.
Smaller Profile Bluetooth Speed and Cadence
The Panobike Bluetooth Speed and cadence sensor is the lowest profile of any Bluetooth Smart speed and cadence sensor and it uses no swing arm, like Wahoo and Garmin, so it fits tighter rear triangles better.
The iPhone 5 Ultimate bike computer is available exclusively at the Heart Rate Watch Company.
