If in only two hours we were able to sort and package almost 8,000 meals, [what image] we could accomplish if more people were aware of and supported this incredible cause.

Foundation Financial Group employees from the company’s Saint Paul Branch Office, located at 4B Signal Hills Center in Saint Paul, supported the Feed My Starving Children organization, benefiting starving children in Haiti. In addition to the volunteer efforts, the corporation made a significant financial contribution.
Foundation Financial employees packaged enough hunger relief meals to feed 68 children at least one nutritious meal per day for an entire year. Volunteers packaged 115 cases of food to be shipped to Haitian children in need.
“The Feed My Starving Children organization collects food for hungry kids six days a week,” said Foundation Financial Group Event Coordinator Kirk Brown. “If in only two hours we were able to sort and package almost 8,000 meals, [what image] we could accomplish if more people were aware of and supported this incredible cause. I find myself amazed by what we can accomplish when people come together for the common good. It’s extremely satisfying to be part of the Feed My Starving Children mission while volunteering alongside my FFG family.”
Feed My Starving Children is powered by volunteers across the age spectrum who hand-pack meals that are specifically formulated for malnourished children. Those meals are then shipped to nearly 70 countries around the world. Preparing and hand-packing food offers volunteers a tangible service experience and also adds a human touch to international food aid.
Feed My Starving Children, founded in 1987, has helped send food and hope to millions of children around the world. In 1993 Dr. Richard Fulmer, a food scientist for Cargill, teamed up with colleagues from Pillsbury and General Mills to develop a nutritious “Fortified Rice Soy Casserole” which was renamed MannaPack™ Rice. To meet the need for a weaning food for children too young to consume MannaPack Rice, FMSC created MannaPack Potato-W. To combat dysentery, the number one cause of death for starving children, FMSC designed MannaPack Potato-D. For over 20 years, Feed My Starving Children has been a part of creating and distributing food specifically formulated to meet the needs of starving children.
Since its establishment, Feed My Starving Children has shipped over 600 million meals and 99.96 percent of those meals have reached the intended hungry children.
