Intermedix shares our vision for increased interoperability and sustainability.
Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) April 23, 2013
Intermedix Corporation—a leading provider of technology-enabled solutions for America's health and safety net—held its annual WebEOC User and Training Conference this month from April 1 to April 4.
Nearly 300 emergency management and public health professionals visited Augusta, Georgia to participate in the conference. Sessions included opportunities for customers to share best practices as well as attend classes through the company's IACET-authorized training center.
WebEOC is a collaborative incident management system used by federal, state, and local governments, healthcare facilities, corporations, and the military. Intermedix focused this year's conference on the future of WebEOC as its new platform for interoperability, as well as the broadened set of technical capabilities now available for the product. The company also introduced its new mobile solution for WebEOC that provides an efficient way to gather real-time visual information from the field. As indicated by CEO Doug Shamon in his opening speech:
"Intermedix is a company strategically and uniquely built to meet the challenges of the National Response Framework, and we are eager to shape WebEOC as a sustainable platform that supports our customers as they build innovative solutions for the future."
Robin Lindsay, Emergency Services Officer for San Bernadino County Fire Department, expressed her confidence in the company's direction for WebEOC:
"Not only does Intermedix have every intention to continue to expand WebEOC applications through strategic development, but the company shares our vision for increased interoperability and sustainability through WebEOC products. In addition, Intermedix adds unlimited value to our existing platform with the ability to link to an amazing network of emergency response tools. The Intermedix leadership team openly addressed WebEOC user questions and demonstrated a commitment to continue to offer products and training that enhance our ability to successfully fulfill our Emergency Management mission."
Robin Lindsay is one of many professionals both nationally and internationally who use WebEOC to provide real-time situational awareness to first responders, key agencies, and jurisdictional stakeholders in the event of emergencies.
