Erin Whelan Pennock, Esq. devotes her practice to the belief that a less adversarial process is oftentimes the best choice for families in the long run. She is dedicated to finding alternatives to litigation through collaborative methods or mediation to save her clients the time, money and emotional strain that can oftentimes be produced by litigation. When confronted with divorce, a child custody dispute, or the death of a loved one, Attorney Pennock understands that this is a stressful and overwhelming time. Attorney Pennock is an experienced family law attorney who takes a personalized approach to each of her clients. She will take the necessary time to obtain a thorough understanding of a client’s primary concerns and goals and will explain a client’s options in clear, understandable language.

Attorney Bio:
Upon graduation from law school and having passed the Massachusetts Bar Examination in 2007, Attorney Pennock joined the general practice law firm of Lovenberg & Associates in Boston, Massachusetts, where she focused her practice in the areas of family law and civil litigation. She successfully represented clients before various courts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including, but not limited to, the Probate and Family Court, Superior Court and Housing Court. In 2011, Attorney Pennock joined Black & Vitelli, LLC as Of Counsel and has continued to focus her practice in the area of family law and alternative dispute resolution. Erin Whelan Pennock, Esquire earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Erin then received her Juris Doctorate from New England School of Law (now known as New England Law Boston) in Boston, MA in 2007.

Attorney Pennock is a member in good standing with the Massachusetts and Middlesex County Bar Associations and the Women’s Bar Association. She is also actively involved in the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council and Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation.

Pro Bono Work:
Attorney Pennock is committed to assisting Massachusetts residents with limited financial resources who can benefit from her skills, certifications, education and dedication. She currently serves as a volunteer attorney with the Women’s Bar Association Elder Law Project and the Volunteer Lawyers Project, which assists victims of domestic violence. She also volunteers her mediation and conciliation services as a Conciliator with the Middlesex County Bar Association and the SERV project offered by Senior Partners for Justice.
