46% of consumer goods marketers use mobile advertisements for brand awareness rather than focusing on driving site traffic or increasing footfall in store.
The report by Millenial Media revealed that nearly half of consumer goods marketers stated their main campaign goal was brand awareness compared to an overall average of 14% among all industries.
Site traffic (29%) and sustained in-market presence (11%) were second and third in the most common campaign goals among consumer marketers. While only 5% aimed to increase foot traffic.
