In this newly created role at Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center, Mr. Maxey will create and manage all events at Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center. Events include, but are not limited to, Oklahoma Contemporary’s ArtNow, Spring Dinner, and Midnight Streak. In addition, Mr. Maxey will handle all aspects of events surrounding exhibition openings and applicable sponsorships. Other responsibilities of the Special Event and Annual Fund Manager include annual sponsorship correspondence to build private support as well as community engagement.
According to Mary Ann Prior, Executive Director, “We are thrilled with Joshua’s extensive background in event creation and management, as well as budget analysis. With that unique combination, he will be a wonderful addition to our team and shared mission.”
Mr. Maxey’s role at Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center is a centerpiece of the organization as it impacts all initiatives of the organization including, but not limited to; exhibitions, education, sponsorships, outreach, creative partnerships, fund raising, and public awareness.
