Our mission is to bring the trust that people have in our products...to an outstanding online shopping experience, by working with Grand River.
Ann Arbor, Michigan (PRWEB) April 24, 2013
Grand River, Inc., a leading e-commerce developer, announced that it was selected by Vitamin Research Products® (http://www.vrp.com) to design and develop three new online stores. Based in Carson City, Nevada, Vitamin Research Products provides the latest scientific research, vitamins and nutritional product supplements to help customers achieve their health goals.
A Magento Enterprise Partner, Grand River will design and develop the sites using Magento Enterprise Edition 1.12. This leading open-source e-commerce platform delivers a scalable, cost effective, online retail solution with rich features, functionality and flexibility.
“For more than thirty years our customers have considered us a partner in helping them manage their health,” said Mike Burroughs, chief information officer for Vitamin Research Products. “Our mission with the new sites is to bring the trust that people have in our products, research and scientific insight to an outstanding online shopping experience, by working with Grand River.”
Grand River is using their expertise in creative design, information architecture, user experience, interface development, integration and system engineering to design and develop the new e-commerce stores. The Magento platform includes support for mobile commerce as well as content management, promotional marketing, order and catalog management and the shipping and payment tools Vitamin Research Products needs to support their business.
The first new site will include custom Magento extensions built by Grand River. A targeted content extension allows Vitamin Research Products to create content based on its relevance to their various customer segments; a quick order extension lets shoppers select items by catalog number and quickly add them to their carts.
Grand River is also integrating SearchSpring in the first new site. SearchSpring is a powerful search and guided navigation tool that uses rapid learning intelligence to power highly advanced search solutions.
“Vitamin Research Products’ commitment to quality is unwavering,” said Scott Robertson, partner and co-founder of Grand River. “They use only the highest quality ingredients for their products and exacting standards for production in their laboratory. More than just building websites, we’re partnering with them to create an entirely new online presence for their brand – one that will support their plans for future growth.”
Following the initial site build, Grand River will work with Vitamin Research Products to build two more full-scale sites that are part of the company’s online operations – http://www.truehealth.com and http://www.healthresources.net – and will also support two individual product microsites.
In addition to the design and development of the new websites, Vitamin Research Products has retained Grand River to provide strategic e-commerce consulting, including post-launch marketing and support to ensure the success of the new sites. Grand River will also host the sites.
