With the recent launch of the WS-01 Wireless Station, education technology maker IPEVO now features a full line of accessories to enhance teacher and student use of Apple's iPad.

IPEVO's iconic USB document cameras β€” the Point 2 View and Ziggi-HD β€” join several other IPEVO education accessories which can be used with the iPad.

Nowadays, more and more teachers are realizing the potential of iPads in the classroom in addition to traditional computers. And IPEVO is committed to being there to support our educators with an entire line of iPad learning accessories.

Education technology designer and maker IPEVO is perhaps best known for its lightweight, affordable line of USB document cameras for PC and Mac. But the company is also making inroads into expanded support of Apple's iPad when it comes to using the popular tablet computer in the classroom. Both of IPEVO's document cameras β€”the Point 2 View and Ziggi-HD β€” can now be used with iPad, thanks to the WS-01 Wireless Station. And several other IPEVO-brand products are also available to enhance the use of iPad for teachers and students alike.

"K-12 teachers have used IPEVO document cameras in literally hundreds of different ways with their PCs or Macs," said Royce Hong, CEO of IPEVO. "Nowadays, more and more teachers are realizing the potential of iPads in the classroom in addition to traditional computers. And IPEVO is committed to supporting those educators with an entire line of iPad learning accessories. These affordable products make iPad use better, faster, more convenient, and more effective."

With the WS-01 Wireless Station, IPEVO introduced a way for their document cameras to communicate with iPad. Using WS-01, educators can stream live images from Ziggi-HD or the Point 2 View directly to iPad via existing an WiFi network. In conjunction with the WS-01 launch, IPEVO released the no-cost Whiteboard app which makes iPad an interactive whiteboard for teaching. With the WS-01 and Whiteboard setup, teachers can stream live images and then annotate them with a series of simple touchscreen gestures, adding arrows, text boxes, highlights, and other drawing features to aid in interactive lessons. When these products are paired with Apple TV Airplay, the video stream and annotation can be wirelessly projected onto a large classroom screen, all in real time.

Another iPad learning accessory of note includes the PadPillow pillow stand, designed for iPad and for ebook readers like Kindle and Nook. This lightweight soft pillow stand conforms to the user's body to comfortably support devices for long sessions. PadPillow can be used in the lap, on the carpet, on a couch, or on hard tables, and is particularly ideal as a multi-surface stand for active younger learners.

One other member of the IPEVO family of learning accessories is the TS-01 Telescoping Stylus. This precision device can go from stylus length to pointer-length with a gentle pull, and is thus appropriate for both accurate operations (as with a drawing app, for one example) and teacher presentations.

"Technology is evolving, and that means education is evolving," said Mr. Hong. "We want to be right there at the cutting edge with our innovative educators. To play a part in the development and implementation of new teaching methods is something that's extremely exciting and gratifying for us."

The entire family of IPEVO learning accessories is available at the IPEVO Online Store at http://www.ipevo.com. The Whiteboard app can be downloaded at no charge from the Apple App Store.
