Since the beginning of the design process, I really wanted to steer clear of any sort of medical feel and portray a more calming, relaxing atmosphere.

On Thursday, April 18, 2013, the newly redesigned version of the Central Jersey Acupuncture website was set live. Owner and board certified acupuncturist, Jeffrey P. Aleski, is proud to introduce the new look, and has high hopes that current and potential clients will appreciate the improved usability.

The first detail that visitors will likely notice about the new site is the updated aesthetics. While the original website layout was very basic, the new site features a soothing color pallet, our intricately designed logo and an image of Mount Huangshan, known as “the loveliest mountain in China”, which now adorns the header of each page.

“The site hadn’t really been touched in about 10 years, so it definitely needed to be revised,” said Aleski. “Since the beginning of the design process, I really wanted to steer clear of any sort of medical feel and portray a more calming, relaxing atmosphere – which is why I really like our new header. I think it just looks more appealing now.”

Visitors to the site will also notice that information regarding hours of operation for all three of Central Jersey Acupuncture’s locations in Metuchen, North Brunswick and Summit, N.J., is now more readily available. Courtesy of the new changes, visitors can access this information by referring to the right-hand panel of almost every individual page. The only page that does not feature this component is the newly added Blog page, where Aleski will soon share knowledge and advice about the practice of acupuncture with his clients.

Additionally, Central Jersey Acupuncture’s new website now features a mobile plugin, which will make the viewing experience much more enjoyable for those choosing to visit the site through a mobile device. Instead of having to zoom in and move the screen left and right to read the text, all of the information is stripped down to the basics and custom formatted for easy mobile viewing. According to Microsoft, mobile web users are expected to outnumber desktop users significantly by the year 2014. Making the adjustment now allows for Aleski and the Central Jersey Acupuncture team to stay ahead of the curve.
