Lincoln, NE based company Excel Development Group, Inc. made the Top 50 U.S. Affordable Housing Finance (AHF) developers list for 2012. The recent results show Excel Development Group at number 47 on the list.

“It’s an honor to be recognized and I can attribute this recognition to our team’s efforts and high standards and those of our partners,” said Excel Development Group CEO Brent Williams.

AHF list is the only one of its kind and results are compiled through elective surveys. Some of the challenges facing these companies are funding cuts to local and state housing programs, availability of tax credit capital, federal funding housing cuts and program changes at HUD/FHA. As a result of these challenges, it’s an honor to be considered one of the top developers in the country for safe and affordable housing.

Over 18,700 units within 264 housing developments were included in the research and ranking. Since 2011, housing developments have increased by about 8%. Excel Development Group’s units are concentrated in the Midwest and features properties in Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska.

“We’ve always been focused on safe, decent, affordable housing and we pride ourselves on providing quality housing for our tenants,” said Excel Development Group’s President and CEO Brent Williams.

Excel Development Group is a development, asset/property management and consulting company headquartered in Lincoln, NE with two other offices in Topeka, KS and Shawnee, OK.
