I want to do my part to ensure that kids who may not be as fortunate as I was, have the same opportunities to excel in life.

Former Georgia Tech star running back, Jonathan Dwyer will host a youth football camp at his alma mater, Kell High School in Marietta, GA, May 31st – June 1st. Jonathan will bring together his NFL colleagues, former coaches and teammates to work with local youth, ages 5-16. His goal is to inspire and motivate attendees through football, while also raising awareness for ADD, ADHD and Autism.

Campers will enjoy two days of positive reinforcement and activities on the field including, learning the fundamentals of the game and position drills. Jonathan will also lead a mentoring segment entitled Chalk Talks, during which he will speak about his journey to the NFL, the importance of education and provide tips to help campers achieve their goals on and off the field.

Jonathan’s aim is two-fold as he is also using the camp to help a very special group of youth in the larger Georgia community, those who have been diagnosed with ADD, ADHD and Autism. Proceeds from the camp will benefit the forthcoming Jonathan Dwyer Neuro Feedback Lab at Jacob’s Ladder Center. Jonathan was diagnosed with ADD in the 5th grade and has made it his mission to give young people with special needs the opportunity to increase their learning skills and build self-confidence.

“Many people don’t know my story as far as my struggle with ADD growing up,” said Dwyer. “Fortunately, I had a great personal support system and access to key resources, which helped me to succeed. Now I want to do my part to ensure that kids who may not be as fortunate as I was, have the same opportunities to excel in life.”

In addition to two days of football instruction, the $60.00 camp fee includes a camp T-shirt, breakfast, lunch and beverages for both days. Campers will also receive gift bags, hustle awards and players’ autographs.

The facility specializes in educating children diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, Autism, PDD and Asperger's among others. There are only five Neuro Feedback Labs in the country and they have proven to produce significant long term effects on young patients with ADD/ADHD and Autism.
