Physicians and scientists with a large federal agency who took part in media interview and presentation skills workshops provided by Clearview Communications & Public Relations commented on their evaluation forms that "this was great!", "this was an excellent workshop," "very informative," "most informative session I've had in four years," and "Excellent. The presentation skills workshops were held this spring at the Atlanta offices of the federal agency. More are planned for later this year. The presentation skills and media interview training by Clearview resulted from an order by the agency's director requiring media interview and presentation skills training for anyone whose responsibilities might require them to speak to the news media.

HIGH MARKS EARNED LAST YEAR WITH LARGE INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION
    Clearview also earned high marks for providing confidential media interview skills training for 54 executives at nine divisions of one of the world's largest companies last year.
    "Superb," commented the firm's chief legal counsel and corporate secretary following the training.

Clearview was called in to provide crisis communications media training for the divisional executives after the company's board of directors voted to prepare front-line personnel to be ready to handle external and internal communications to protect the company's brand and market share during a potential crisis.

The manufacturing firm employs 9,100 at more than 50 locations in the U.S., Canada, Europe and China, and is considered a significant risk for a crisis that could affect employee safety, morale, the environment, operations and revenues. It is the policy of Clearview Communications and Public Relations to keep client identities confidential, so the name of the corporation cannot be announced.

"The day-long training for the mill managers and executives was very rigorous, realistic and demanding, and that was intentional so that the participants would get the most out of it," commented Andrew Bowen, APR, Clearview's founder and primary media trainer. "Still, the scores showed they found it valuable, and I fully believe the men and women who went through it will be able to effectively manage media relations and communications in a crisis, when it happens, in order to minimize negative effects on the brand, its people, operations and revenues."

The international company plans another round of media training for executives at its international headquarters and more of its divisions later this year.
