Portland enterprise software start-up Opal Labs (http://www.workwithopal.com) will partner with the GoGreen Seattle Conference to allow event participants to share and shape the next generation of sustainable business ideas. GoGreen Seattle will host virtual brainstorms via Opal’s flagship business application Opal Brainstorms, the only app designed to unlock the idea-generating potential across entire organizations and communities.

These GoGreen brainstorms will empower event attendees to share and build upon the most innovative ideas sparked at the GoGreen 2013 Conference happening on April 24, 2013 at The Conference Center in Seattle and continue the conversation long after the conference ends. Conference speakers, including Jim Hanna from Starbucks, will be able to turn these ideas into actionable outcomes thanks to Opal’s unique synthesis technology.

GoGreen is a sustainability learning experience for business and government decision-makers. The GoGreen mission is to empower attendees with the strategies, tools and connections to green their organizations with profitability in mind. Featuring regionally targeted content and recognized leaders from the community, GoGreen works across industries to foster peer-to-peer learning and collaborative solutions.

This year’s GoGreen conference attendees will be invited to participate in 13 virtual brainstorms moderated by conference speakers from various organizations such as Microsoft, King County, McKinstry and Community Sourced Capital –all recognized leaders within the sustainable business community. These brainstorms will tackle some of the toughest challenges facing business today such as climate change and the democratization of finance.

“Opal Labs has had the privilege of working with global sustainable business leaders at Arup, Method, Nike and more who have taught us how essential ideas are in solving today’s toughest challenges,” said George Huff, CEO and co-founder of Opal Labs. “But ideas are unique and powerful, and extremely difficult to harness. How do you know if you’re getting the best ideas from within your organization and community? And what do you do with the thousands of ideas that are generated every year? That’s why we created Opal Brainstorms and why we’re so excited to invite the GoGreen community to use our technology to share and shape the ideas we think could change the world.”
