New Automation Framework from ExpressAbility Increases Microsoft System Center Efficiency

Create seamless automation between platforms to create time savings and improve outcomes.

"EDAF is everything you would need for deployment automation, hands down--saving literally hundreds of hours off automation development." Jason Drinen, ExpressAbility President

ExpressAbility, endpoint management and automation specialists, announced that they unveiled a new automation framework for Microsoft System Center at the Microsoft Management Summit (MMS) 2013, held April 8 to April 12, in Las Vegas, Nevada. This drag and drop development framework for deployment automation provides custom integration with enterprise platforms and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, reducing manual labor and improving the quality of system deployments.

Built on the Decisions workflow automation platform, the ExpressAbility Deployment Automation Framework (EDAF) contains pre-built automation functionality for many common deployment scenarios. EDAF contains pre-built data models, interactions, execution management, scheduling, user communication, approval chains, and status reporting. The platform can be configured to automate a variety of actions and can even expand to serve other automated process needs within an organization. Enterprises can use EDAF to create seamless deployment automation within processes such as new hire, refresh, redeploy and OS migration management. Using the product, it is possible to create specialized consoles or interfaces for specific job functions, eliminating the need for direct SCCM console access in many cases.

“EDAF is everything you would need for deployment automation, hands down—shaving literally hundreds of hours off automation development,” said Jason Drinen, ExpressAbility President. “And with our automation experience from the last ten years, we understand the larger business processes related to deployment and automation.” Complete process automation includes steps outside normal deployment build automation like approval chains and user communications and may include interaction with several different applications to achieve cohesive process automation.

EDAF creates a seamless automation process between platforms and bridges gaps in applications. Complicated coding and teams of developers are replaced with an agile and rapid development process using a drag and drop designer.

The ExpressAbility Deployment Automation Framework is currently available for purchase.
