Velocity Credit Union in Austin has a new feature available on its website. Credit union members can now access a secure online chat interface.
"We wanted to provide an additional resource for our customers," said Carol Cain, a senior vice president at Velocity Credit Union. "We realize that some people who have detailed questions about our policies and services prefer to engage online instead of in person or on the phone. Our online chat support addresses that need."
The secure online chat feature is conveniently located on the lower left corner of the Velocity home page (https://www.velocitycu.com/) website. Customers can use the interactive interface during business hours to ask questions about the credit union's loans, savings and investment programs, hours, locations, checking accounts, alerts, rates and fees. The chat messaging system also allows customers interested in electronic correspondence to leave a message while representatives are offline.
The new online feature is the latest of several elements designed to enhance customer service for credit union members. Other new services include security alerts for debit and ATM accounts, holiday loans and a new Velocity Visa card.
