Ken Hardison, president and founder of PILMMA (Personal Injury Lawyers Marketing and Management Association) is bringing the very latest in tablet technology to PILMMA members and their clients. Hardison has teamed up with mobile app expert Patrick Anderson and a group of leading personal injury attorneys from across the country in an effort to enhance client-attorney communication as well as the overall client experience by implementing the Google Nexus tablet.
Since founding PILMMA in 2009, Hardison has been a driving force in the world of law firm marketing and management. Steadfast and focused on educating and coaching his members and delivering up-to-the-minute marketing strategies, Hardison believes the Google tablet will give PILMMA members a niche and a leg-up on the competition.
The Google Nexus features the “Medical Care Companion” a user-friendly application system designed to reduce the client’s worry and anxiety so they can focus on recovery and healing. Among the tablet’s many features is the “Triage” application. Here the client can record symptoms, medications, doctors’ visits and more.
Clients and family members can photograph and make a video journal of the client from onset of injury throughout their recovery. The cloud-based feature of the tablet makes all of this information readily available to the client’s attorney and staff. In addition, there is an app for relaxation and well-being which contains games and spa-like music and visuals. The tablet includes “Celebrate Life” videos which resonate with good feelings and genuine emotions of human caring and heartfelt compassion.
John Page of Page Bradley in St. Louis, Missouri is one of the twelve attorneys involved in launching the “Medical Care Companion”. Improved client-attorney communication is just one of the many advantages he predicts will result in implementing this new technology.
“I think it allows the lawyers to work with the clients and the clients to work with the lawyers and instead of just asking the client to do something and relying on the fact that the client will do it, we will instantaneously follow up and see that it’s done.”
He also sees the benefits of the Daily Health Journal application.
“The Daily Health Journal is completely different than anything else that’s out there and a lot of times when people are injured and living in the moment they can explain their situation and their problems and their injuries. But if you wait until they are 3 months into it or 4 months into it, it’s almost impossible to go back and have them tell you the same story as they could on day 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or so on.”
All of these benefits of utilizing the tablet system in personal injury cases will hopefully culminate in a more favorable outcome for the client.
Page adds, “It will certainly help us tell a better story and the more clear the story is that you can tell there is a direct parallel to getting more compensation.”
“The ‘Medical Care Companion’ is designed to benefit both the client and the attorney and essentially positively impact the outcome of the client’s case. But it also addresses the human side of personal injury law,” Ken Hardison says. “It says ‘we care, we listen and we understand’. The use of the ‘Medical Care Companion’ and the Nexus will definitely give our PILMMA members a competitive edge needed to stand out among their competition.”
