US Patent, gravitational plate and pendulum design with auditory click and kinetic feedback
Boston, MA April 24, 2013 (PRWEB) April 24, 2013
POWER DRIVE PERFORMANCE and WINNING PITCHERS ACADEMY RESEARCH CENTER has completed a major expansion at their Boston facility. “With continued growth the team is proud to be one of the estimated 27 million small businesses that contribute to powering our US economy," said John Miller, President of Power Drive Performance and the Winning Pitchers Academy Research Center. The growth of the US Patent Pitchers Power Drive and Softball Power Drive along with WP Academy Research Center necessitated the space expansion, added Miller.
Facility expansion from 5K to 10K square feet was fueled by Power Drive Performance launching four new products in three years, the Pitchers Power Drive, Softball Power Drive, Hitters Power Drive and Golfers Power Drive. These original US Patent training aids operate from an athlete’s own natural momentum and gravitational force with no springs to resist or assist. "This US Patent gravitational plate and pendulum design with auditory click and kinetic feedback created a heavy demand from professional, collegiate, high school and travel club teams", Miller said. Being able to practice proper mechanics in game muscle movement sequence is important to the learning process. Professional trainers and coaches were involved in product development from a skill training and coaching environment, “Our team spends 360 days a year on diamonds and at the academy developing athlete’s skills and improving their performance. This training and coaching passion evolved the products". Miller added.
The expansion layout design is unique for an academy. The four baseball and softball training lanes are laid out end to end to allow quite private training areas vs. the traditional lane next to lane setup. Miller said, these quite training areas allow instructors to maintain the athletes focus on skill development". The expanded space has a separate baseball conditioning area with a 8'x20' med ball wall, fourteen Crossover Symmetry arm and shoulder care stations, advance computer analysis room, training product research center and a Power Drive Performance training aid assembly, packaging and shipping space.
“The expansion would not have been possible without the ability of doing it right here in the USA with 8 small American company partners. Things get done quickly when the production and design is 25 minutes from our Power Drive Performance training and research center”, Miller said. The company mission statement is “Designed by Professional Trainers, built by Professional Craftsmen and used by Professional Athletes” all in the USA”.
“Over the past four years I have gained a stronger awareness of the importance of small business to the success of America”, Miller said. As a professional photographer / videographer and producer, this was captured in a short production video story of Power Drive Performance products. This video story was launched on Election Day this past November. Since this time, I have spent hundreds of hours on video shoots of small American companies with success stories, Miller said, “Currently finishing a fascinating video shoot with EvoShield on the hunting recoil shirt with Duck Dynasty in Louisiana”. Every month, experiencing firsthand the USA having the greatest resources in the world...American creativity, innovative ideas and dedicated workers”, Miller added..
