I believe by spreading awareness we can save lives
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) April 24, 2013
Mark Walczak asks the public to join him and other NFL greats such as Dermontti Dawson and former Raiders player Mike Haynes at the next free Pro Player Health Alliance event in San Diego, CA this May and learn how treating Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) can change lives. His best friend, Junior Seau, who is tragically no longer with us, suffered from sleep disorders. This is just one of the reasons Walczak is so passionate about helping to spread awareness.
Pro Player Health Alliance is on a "National Awareness" campaign to educate the public of the health risks and dangers of Sleep Apnea, including treatment and prevention, with more effective solutions. The solution includes a simple dental oral appliance that is worn like a mouth guard while during the night. It works very effectively to open the airway for proper breathing while sleeping. Mark States, "Preventing OSA, saving lives and improving overall health for fellow teammates, friends and family is our mission." Statistically, over 60% of the NFL and former NFL are suffering from OSA. Who better to speak and share personal stories to the public?
“I am thrilled to see the momentum that we are making to help spread awareness of sleep apnea on a national level with these fantastic NFL greats!” said David Gergen, President of Gergen's Orthodontic Lab and Founder of PPHA. “Spreading awareness at these events and screenings and through radio and television has been wonderful. I believe by spreading awareness we can save lives.”
This event and the events that will follow are co-sponsored by Gergen’s Orthodontic Lab who will provide free oral appliances to qualified attendees. Register now as spots are limited. Keep up-to-date on PPHA and the events to follow by liking PPHA on Facebook.
