It has been reported in HVP that the two courses are designed to promote gas safety within the social housing sector, covering issues such as the detection, effects and dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning. The courses, which are ideal for maintenance installers or anyone who works in the social housing sector, are also suitable for non-technical candidates and can be run in a variety of ways. They will join a number of other nationally recognised QCF qualifications, some of which are designed for the electrical trade.
Well known for their Walthamstow Plumbers, We Fix Now operates throughout the capital and surrounding counties, also offering Gas Safe Registered engineers. Regularly campaigning for higher awareness of gas safety in the home, the team were of course pleased to hear of the two new campaigns. A representative from the firm shares their thoughts.
“We’re pleased to see that action is being taken to create better levels of gas safety awareness, from those who maintain and install appliances to those working within the housing industry. It’s also good to see that there is more in depth training available for those with more responsibility.”
