100% of Proceeds from Special Edition Bracelet to Benefit One Fund Boston

Go Sport ID, makers of personalized runner ID bracelets, announced today the launch of a new special edition bracelet as part of an effort to raise funds for those directly affected by the Boston Marathon bombing. Every penny of the proceeds from the sales of this bracelet will be donated to One Fund Boston, a fund set up by Boston Mayor, Thomas Menino.

“The running community is a close-knit one. We are there for each other and we help up those who fall,” said Justin Noland of Go Sport ID, “There are news stories each year about high school and college athletes who stop during a race to help a rival to their feet, sometimes willing them to the finish line. When Hurricane Sandy hit, many of those in New York for the marathon stayed and volunteered to do what they could. We are saddened by the tragic bombings at the Boston Marathon and our thoughts are with all of the victims, young and old, runners, spectators, family members, and friends. Run for all. All for run.”

The phrase “Run for all. All for run”, which is printed on the back of the bracelet, communicates the values that many in the running community share. These values focus on being inclusive to new runners, the sharing of information and advice, motivating each other to get faster and run further, and picking others up as they stumble. Many of the participants in running races across the globe do so in order to raise money for a cause. Even the races themselves often support a non-profit organization, providing funds and awareness at each mile marker. Giving and community support is the backbone of a sport that not only celebrates the greatness of athletic achievement, but also the will and desire of everyday people to meet and surpass their goals.
