ExTreme ReTrailers introduces units powered completely off the grid with separate spaces for a retail shop and vendor living quarters.

ExTreme ReTrailers, LLC announced today that it has designed a state-of-the-art solar powered unit for retailers on-the-go and/or retailers who do not wish to be encumbered by brick and mortar stores and leases. The unit makes its first public appearance at Conejo Valley Days, celebrating its 57th anniversary in Thousand Oaks, California May 2nd-5th. The unit will make additional appearances throughout summer 2013 along the West Coast and Northern California, focusing on Bay Area and East Bay area events.

An “ExTreme ReTrailer™” is a fully-functioning, contemporary retail store built inside of an enclosed trailer. The concept makes it possible for merchants to travel to events, festivals, farmer’s markets, rallies, and fairs across the country selling their products with organization and ease. No setting up at each stop; no packing up at the end of each day. Simply open the door to your ExTreme ReTrailer and it’s ready for business!

The company has made sophisticated and important changes since first entering the marketplace in the fall of 2011. Formerly, customers entered through the back ramp for starters. Now, that area is used as the floor of a screened-in, private living area for the merchant. There is hot and cold running water, a sink, bunk beds, two televisions, computers, a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and a small kitchen counter. The private living area is separated from the store by a sliding pocket door. When the store is open for business, consumers now enter through the side. Everything that needs power gets it from the sun!

This revolutionary concept saves vendors loads of overhead money by not having to dine out or pay for motel/hotel rooms when on the road. ExTreme ReTrailers also gives small business owners and entrepreneurs a sense of being home away from home when traveling to sell their goods. It is always nice to use personal belongings such as cookware, utensils, and bedding when on the road for long stretches of time. It also provides a sense of security for your merchandise when events are closed for the night.

In February 2012, MSNBC’s “Your Business” featured ExTreme ReTrailers at the Lake Havasu Balloon Festival. Anyone interested in seeing the original design and learning about the inspiring CEO/Founder, Julia Hutton, can watch the feature segment on the company’s home page –

Now, a deluxe and beautifully remodeled version of ExTreme ReTrailers is debuting and it is powered naturally!
