AlertSystems are aware of the growing problem scrap metal theft is having on businesses and cites CCTV and ANPR Software as an effective way of tackling the problem.
A spokesperson from AlertSystems said:
“Scrap metal theft is a growing problem for businesses and can be incredibly disruptive as well as dangerous. While many police, such as the ones in Dudley, are increasingly using number plate recognition to identify criminals - ANPR can also be used by businesses to ensure only staff and approved vehicles may enter the premises or that you have vehicle details captured if a vehicle is suspected of suspicious behaviour.”
