GO Outdoors, the UK's top outdoor clothing and equipment retailer, has announced a partnership with Visit Peak District, the official tourist board of the Peak District and Derbyshire.
The adventure specialist has extremely close links with the Peak District, having started out trading in Sheffield more than 40 years ago. Now, in a bid to help encourage more people to discover the opportunities and potential for fun and adventure on offer in the Peaks, GO Outdoors has signed a sponsorship deal with the area's tourism body.
As well as being an incredible destination for all kinds of activities from walking and cycling to rock climbing and horse riding, the Peak District is home to an array of museums, visitor centres, restaurants, top hotels and attractions.
GO Outdoors chief executive John Graham said: "We are always looking for ways to support the sustainability of the countryside, so I'm delighted that GO Outdoors is sponsoring Visit Peak District.
"As an avid climber, my love of the Peak District goes back a long way. It has so much to offer and I hope our partnership inspires more people to go outdoors and take advantage of the beautiful surroundings."
The team at GO Outdoors is passionate about making the most of the opportunities on offer in the Peak District and head straight for the Active Peaks pages on the Visit Peak District website to find out what's going on in the area throughout the year.
Outdoor enthusiasts looking to get kitted out ahead of a trip to the Peaks can visit the firm's online store where they'll find everything from GO Outdoors ladies' gilet tops and GO Outdoors children's coats to fishing gear, skiing essentials and climbing equipment from top manufacturers including Wild Country, Petzl and Black Diamond. It's also simple to find a huge range of men's jackets from Go Outdoors made by the likes of Craghoppers and Regatta, as well as backpacks from Go Outdoors made by Vango, Berghaus and Lowe Alpine.
