She brings 16 years IT Experience to Mainstream

Mainstream Technologies is pleased to announce the hiring of Laurie Van Noy to its IT staff. She will be directing clients’ work orders to the appropriate engineers, overseeing event logs for security compliance, and making routine visual inspections of hardware in the data center to ensure proper functioning. Additionally, Laurie is responsible for maintaining controlled access to the data center.

Her prior experience includes 16 years at Dillard’s where she began in a Level 1 support center position, and then moved on to Level 2, specializing in the IT systems that involve merchandise turnover. Laurie then moved to the Network Group, where her most recent position was Network Operations Analyst, which involved the monitoring of all network and data connections between headquarters and individual stores.

Laurie is married, and has two children, a 7 year-old boy, and a 2-year old girl. Hobbies include travel and reading, and she volunteers with parents’ groups at her children’s schools.

According to Mark McClelland, VP of IT, “Laurie’s experience and ability to quickly adapt to our tools has been extremely beneficial in her primary role of dispatching our engineers. In a short period of time she has gained the respect of her peers and her positive attitude in everything she does has been contagious. I’ve been very pleased with her progress and the immediate impact on the efficiencies of the group, and I’m confident that she will have a long and successful career at Mainstream.”
