Skin Care Institute will host Tulsa med spa savings event on May 2, 2013 with a portion of the proceeds benefiting mental health charity initiatives.

Skin Care Institute is Oklahoma's premier medical spa, located in Tulsa.

The open house shopping night, in addition to providing funding for Mental Health Association of Tulsa, is also designed to help Skin Care Institute’s Tulsa clientele look and feel their best going into the summer months.

Skin Care Institute, a premier Tulsa, OK medical spa, announced that their semi-annual open house shopping night – featuring savings on some of their most popular med spa services like BOTOX®, Juvéderm®, laser hair removal, Ultherapy®, CoolSculpting® and spa treatments like massage - will donate a portion of their proceeds to the Mental Health Association of Tulsa (MHAT) and other mental health initiatives under MHAT.

Judy Alexander, the med spa’s executive director, also serves on the board of the Mental Health Association of Tulsa, citing that the work of MHAT is not only nationally recognized, but near and dear to her heart, as well.

“On an ongoing basis, the Skin Care Institute donates $1 of every massage performed to the Mental Health Association of Tulsa and, at our event, we sell many massages. We also sell Altamont Cookies at our open house, baked by people who suffer from mental illness and who currently live in one of MHAT's 650 housing units like the Altamont Apartments. All of those proceeds pay for ingredients and salaries for the bakers. It gives people meaningful employment. Like many people,
I had a close family member who suffered from mental illness and I am happy to be able to support this cause.”

The open house shopping night, in addition to providing funding for MHAT, is also designed to help Skin Care Institute’s Tulsa clientele look and feel their best going into the summer months.

The event, which offers big savings on Restylane®, Radiesse®, Fraxel®, chemical peels, spa facials, massage, waxing, airbrush tanning and more, has seen a large turnout in years past. “We anticipate a great turnout this year and invite clients both old and new to enjoy these confidence-boosting specials!” Alexander added.
