On April 26, 2013, international obstacle course racing series Spartan Race previews the Indiana Reebok Spartan Sprint being held in Laurel, Indiana on April 27th with the help of Brakken Kraker, a Spartan elite athlete and Pro Team member.

Kraker, who participated in last year’s Indiana Sprint, recalled the challenges he encountered. According to him, the Founders’ Race and mud run portion was “primal,” “stripped down” and “intriguing.” Kraker adds, “I crossed the finish line smiling, having enjoyed almost every second of the race.”

Kraker expressed his excitement for the coming race this Saturday, where he will be joined by Spartan Pro Team racer Elliott Megquier and other fierce competitors. Although some of the elite competitors will be skipping the Indiana race in favor of next weekend’s Colorado Military Spartan Sprint, the competition will be fierce. According to Kraker, race director Todd Sedlak promises “a brand new course completely different than last year, less than five miles in distance, but with no finish times under an hour.”

“We are expecting a large turnout for this Saturday’s Spartan Sprint,” says Joe De Sena, founder and CEO of Spartan Race. “Race Director Todd Sedlak will be making his debut in Indiana, so get ready for some exciting obstacles and challenges.”

Spartan Race, voted Outside Magazine’s Best Obstacle Race in 2012, is the world’s leading obstacle race series and the first of its kind to have global rankings.
