Sawtooth Ideas (http://www.sawtoothideas.com), an online marketplace and software company that creates interactive 3D experiences for woodworking plans, has recently partnered with Woodcraft Magazine (http://www.woodcraftmagazine.com) and Woodworker’s Journal (http://www.woodworkersjournal.com) to offer many of their most popular projects on its website and within its IdeaRoom software application.

“We’re so pleased to partner with these prestigious woodworking publications. Their projects set the industry standard for quality instructions and have incredibly broad appeal,” said Russ Whitney, CEO and President of Sawtooth Ideas.

Thirty-five Woodcraft Magazine projects and 18 Woodworker’s Journal projects are now available through the Sawtooth Ideas marketplace, with additional woodworking projects from these publications to be posted in the future.

“Partnering with Sawtooth Ideas allows us to offer the most comprehensive visual information for project plans developed by Woodcraft Magazine,” said Jim Harrold, Editor-in-Chief of Woodcraft Magazine.

As part of IdeaRoom, all projects include an interactive 3D model that enables the user to do detailed ad-hoc exploration of the project. Users can explode the project to see how all parts come together. They can isolate and rotate an individual part to see measurements and cuts. And they can zoom in to see construction or joinery details.

“Delivering Woodworker’s Journal projects with IdeaRoom means the ultimate woodworking experience for woodworkers: interactive 3D models and the highest-quality instructions that you can take with you right into the workshop on your iPad,” said Rob Johnstone, Editor-in-Chief of Woodworker’s Journal. "It's the next big step in woodworking plans!"

Woodworking projects can be purchased within IdeaRoom or on the Sawtooth Ideas website. IdeaRoom for Mac, iPad, or iPhone is available free in the Apple App Store. IdeaRoom for Windows is available for free download at http://www.sawtoothideas.com/software/idearoom.
