Our new EV charging station is not just an additional amenity for our guests. It's what our clients and customers now expect from us as the market leader in sustainability.
Concord, California (PRWEB) April 29, 2013
The newly renovated Hilton Concord in San Francisco's East Bay has added an expansive Electric Vehicle (EV) charging station to serve hotel guests and the community as part of its ongoing sustainability initiatives.
In response to anticipated guest and client demand for car charging, Hilton Concord is leading the way with exceptional capacity for up to eight vehicles. Hilton Concord now has the largest EV charging station in the San Francisco Bay Area and it is the only hotel property with DC Fast Chargers west of the Mississippi. Conveniently located off I-680 in Concord, the hotel will serve EV commuters traveling between Sacramento & San Francisco or between Napa & San Jose.
"Our new EV charging station is not just an additional amenity for our guests," says Jack Hlavac, Hilton Concord’s General Manager. "It's what our clients and customers now expect from us as the market leader in sustainability."
The EV charging stations are part of the The Blink Network. Hilton Concord offers eight charging stations in total, which include:
-Two (2) Blink DC Fast Charger terminals (480volt – Level 2 DC), which is the quickest charging solution that recharges from 0-100% in under 30 minutes.
-Six (6) Blink Pedestal terminals (240volt – Level 2 AC).
Hilton Concord guests can now charge their vehicles overnight or while attending a meeting or event at the hotel. Guests who choose the DC Fast Charger can charge their car completely while enjoying a cup of coffee or grabbing a quick bite to eat in Plate & Vine Restaurant located at Hilton Concord.
The new EV charging station is convenient for guests and offers yet one more reason to choose the Hilton Concord, in addition to the hotel’s 36 completed sustainability initiatives already in place. The EV charging station will encourage sustainability focused meeting planners and travelers to do business with the Hilton Concord over other hotels in the East Bay.
