It’s a great opportunity to enhance the legacy of these masters and acknowledge that their values are still relevant to the global community.

Industrial designers at RKS draw inspiration from the legends of their field everyday. The firm is honoring a handpicked selection of the men and women who transformed the industrial design profession with a series of portraits, quotes and portfolio galleries.
RKS founder and CEO Ravi Sawhney explains, “We are selecting some of the designers who influenced us as we grew up in the design world. Looking at designers from the past always inspires us to replicate their passion and dedication to solve problems. It’s a great opportunity to enhance the legacy of these masters and acknowledge that their values are still relevant to the global community.”
RKS is currently turning the spotlight onto the iconic couple Charles and Ray Eames. Features to come will include Buckminster Fuller, Raymond Loewy and Walter Gropius. The series lives on the Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and Instagram pages of the firm, and each week will be dedicated to a different designer who marked his or her era. “The Iconic Designer Series had to be social by nature,” says Marketing Associate Julie Calderini. “We want to get design students, professional and amateurs to look back at the people who shaped the discipline and search for traces of their legacy in their everyday lives.”
Design amateurs, students and professionals are invited to join the conversation at:
