Chat n Joe, Dynamic Rapport Meetings: From Business Card Exchanges to Mixers then Speed Networking. The Evolution of the Perfect Way to Network Continues....In 2013, Just Pick a Card.

Business Networking Events or “Mixers” are nothing new when it comes to building your professional network and doing a little grass roots marketing. In fact, when it comes to locating worthy partners and new clients, networking is among the most popular outlets available. In this case, however, the newness lies not in the “what” but more so in the “how”.

Typically, people attend networking functions based upon the idea of mingling around a room with like-minded professionals, randomly participating in brief conversations, and swapping business cards. Simple? Sure. Effective? Sometimes.

Alternatively, there are “Speed Networking” events. These events mirror the ever popular “Speed Dating” events, in which individuals are paired two at a time to exchange brief info about themselves in a series of timed segments (Usually 2mins.) before a buzzer goes off and they move “one seat down” to do the same with the next person. While some find these functions worth their while, others feel that they nearly lose their wits trying to keep pace with the constant switching and swapping. Speed; great for Track Stars and Drag Racing. Maybe, not so good for beginning or maintaining quality relationships among professionals.

Ready for the Next Big Thing in Business Mixers?

While keeping quality, professionalism, and fun at the forefront, Chat n Joe Rapport Meetings offer a well-organized and efficient alternative to effectively network for business. These meetings combine the time efficiency of Speed Networking perfectly with the warm-touch and comfortable pace of traditional networking.

How it Works;

  •     21 or more professionals gather for their fill of hot coffee (or “Joe”) and snacks while engaging in fun rapport building activities.
  •     Seated 3 per table, one professional volunteers to be "Speaker" while the other 2 (Inquisitors), choose cards containing rapport building questions from a deck located at the center of the table.
  •     In timed segments, both ask the speaker casual and business based questions from the cards until it is the next person’s turn to be speaker.
  •     This continues until all seated at table have had their turn.
  •     Seating rotations follow until all attendees have connected.

The results of this well orchestrated arrangement are considerable. All participants are given the opportunity to speak freely but comfortably about their businesses while expressing basic interests and viewpoints. Simultaneously, inquisitors can gauge natural chemistry and synergies, while never being at a loss for conversational additives; just pick a card. In addition, everyone in attendance actually meets everyone else.
