Inmar today announced that it will release the results of its most recent shopper behavior survey during a webinar scheduled for 2:00p.m. EDT on May 1. The webinar is titled “Understanding and Engaging the New Couponer” and will be presented by Devora Rogers, Sr. Director, Marketing Insights.
The survey, undertaken by Inmar Analytics in February, included interviews with more than 1,000 shoppers who has used a coupon in the previous three months while shopping in-store for groceries, household supplies, health care items or personal care products. Survey participants were asked about 1) their shopping behavior in general, 2) how they engage with technology relative to shopping, 3) the types of coupons they use, 4) how they discover/acquire coupons and 5) their attitudes towards coupon use.
Analysis of the survey results by Inmar Analytics revealed the emergence of what the group is calling the “new couponer” – an increasingly influential and diverse shopper segment comprising technology-enabled deal hunters who, while excited about couponing, are demonstrating an “attitude of entitlement” regarding the offers they receive and the means by which they receive them.
