The Gift from American Pleasure Products gives Victory Junction a tremendous new platform to get our children campers & families out on our water. The boat’s stability and ease of pedaling will provide an incredible experience for our participants.
Rose City, MI (PRWEB) April 30, 2013
American Pleasure Products, a manufacturer of Aqua Cycle Products for over 40 years, recently donated a four person all aluminum pontoon paddle boat to Victory Junction in Randleman, North Carolina. Victory Junction enriches the lives of children, ages 6 to 16, with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses by providing life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun, and empowering, in a safe and medically-sound environment. Victory Junction was founded by Kyle & Pattie Petty in honor of their son, Adam.
Nicole Connor, Development Associate with Victory Junction worked with American Pleasure Products to coordinate the donation. With her assistance, campers, former campers, friends, supporters and colleagues at Victory Junction took part in a Facebook survey to name the paddle boat. The winning name was: “Sikopotat Seeker.” The name Sikopotat is the name of an elusive, gigantic fish in the Victory Junction Lake that all campers seek to catch!
“The Gift from American Pleasure Products gives Victory Junction a tremendous new platform to get our children campers & families out on our water. The boat’s stability and ease of pedaling will provide an incredible experience for our participants. The Aqua Cycle is a high quality addition to the many experiences Victory Junction offers,” stated Connor.
The donated Aqua Cycle is a light weight, four person pontoon paddle boat that enables all four passengers to simultaneously pedal the boat. The stability of the all-aluminum pontoon boat enables the campers a very safe and stable ride. The upright bench style seats allow children and adults with various levels of disability to board and disembark the paddle boat with less trouble than a traditional plastic or fiberglass paddle boat.
The boat assembly, preparation and delivery were donated by the southeast distributor of Aqua Cycles, Leisure Lifestyle Products, LLC.
