The Geothermal Resources Council (GRC) has issued a final call for papers for the world’s largest annual geothermal conference, taking place September 29-October 2, 2013, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the MGM Grand Hotel. The final deadline for Draft Paper submission is May 3, 2013.
The GRC Annual Meeting & GEA Geothermal Energy Expo is the industry’s largest annual gathering of leading geothermal energy scientists, producers, renewable energy industry stakeholders, regulators, utilities, and key associated business leaders. The four-day event will offer technical, policy, and market conference sessions, educational seminars, tours of local geothermal and renewable energy projects, and numerous networking opportunities. Registration to the GRC Annual Meeting also includes entry to the GEA Expo.
The GRC 2013 Annual Meeting planning committee will consider papers for its Technical and Poster Sessions covering a range of topics, both domestic and international: Business Development / Finance; Basin & Range / Cascades / Rocky Mountains; Direct Use / Heat Pump; Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS); Exploration / Resource Assessment / Management; Geology, Geophysics and Geochemistry; Geothermal Energy Associated with Oil and Gas Operations; Geothermal Project Case Studies; International; Power Operations / Maintenance / Production Technologies; Regulatory / Environmental Compliance / Policy Issues; and Utility and Transmission Issues.

In addition, the GRC has announced the titles of pre-meeting geothermal workshops. Held over two days at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, New Developments in Power Plants will be led by Dr. Ron DiPippo and Geothermal Exploration in the 21st Century is being organized by Dr. Jeff Witter. Both workshops will take place on September 27 and 28 before the start of the GRC Annual Meeting & GEA Geothermal Energy Expo.
