Companies want the freedom to be able to choose their own technology.... We’re working to make it easier for clients to do what they need and accomplish their goals.

Property Solutions®, the multifamily industry’s only comprehensive single-platform technology provider, announced that it has opened its system to external app development by expanding to a Platform as a Service (PaaS) model, built upon the Entrata™ Core property management software. Property Solutions’ Entrata PaaS brings a comprehensive suite of technology together under one unified platform through a single interface, with built-in applications and free third-party integrations. The Entrata system also hosts the only multifamily App Store, with access to third-party applications—including Purqz, Rent.com, Apartment Guide, Notivus, Rent Recovery Solutions, and more—within the same platform.

First announced in June 2012, Property Solutions’ free property management software Entrata will now extend the benefits of a single login, open API, unified reporting, and browser/device agnosticism to an even greater user-base as it becomes the core technology of Property Solutions’ PaaS system. “With Entrata at the core, we’ve now established the industry’s first platform with accounting, leasing, portals, and payments contained within a single open database, supporting limitless integration possibilities,” said Property Solutions CEO Dave Bateman. “It comes at no cost and they have full authority to integrate data with third parties however they wish. This frees up a virtually immeasurable chunk of capital within our clients’ budgets by way of seamless automation, sophisticated reporting, instantaneous system updates, and fluent user design, not to mention, potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars in wasted licensing and integration fees.”

The open API and free integrations supported by the Entrata PaaS also make way for the first multifamily software App Store. Users can access vendor applications such as Apartment Guide and Purqz from within Entrata’s smart interface and robust single database. “Companies want the freedom to be able to choose their own technology. We respect that, and we’re working to make it easier for clients to do what they need and accomplish their goals,” said Bateman.

For years, other multifamily software providers have locked customers into various versions of dated programs, running on multiple databases. “Clients are forced to deal with disjointed platforms and re-skinned versions of the same old software,” Bateman explained. “These carry huge roadblocks to reporting, system updates, and integrations.” Entrata was constructed from the ground up with a multi-tenant architecture, which hosts the entirety of portfolio data on one database. “What this translates to is a single system with comprehensive built-in tools that seamlessly track leads from first contact to renewal,” he said. “Multitenancy is essential. It’s the difference between property reporting at a week out, and reporting in real time.”

Entrata is currently in open beta, and small portfolios can secure immediate self-provisioned access at http://propertysolutions.com/property-management-software/entrata/. Current clients and companies with more than approximately 500 units are encouraged to contact their client executive or call 1.877.826.9700 to learn how to get started.
