SkyKick – right now it’s not the most recognized name in IT. But according to CyberStreams Inc., SkyKick is about to become well known in the world of SMB’s and Office 365.
CyberStreams offers personalized IT consulting to the greater Seattle area. Their philosophy is that in a world of rapidly advancing technology, small businesses need a partner who can provide the flexibility and dependability of an IT department, without the cost. Given these values, partnering with SkyKick for Office 365 migrations was an easy decision for company.
SkyKick is a new migration technology for getting Outlook users moved to Office 365’s Exchange Online cloud. While the idea of migration software is not itself new, what is new is its holistic approach. According to Thomas Allen, Marketing Manager at CyberStreams and head of the company’s Office 365 branch, what makes this migration application so significant is that it takes everything from the sales process to post-migration support into account.
By combining and automating many steps in the cloud migration process, SkyKick makes the entire migration run quickly, smoothly, and at a much lower risk for CyberStream’s customers. With SkyKick, CyberStreams can streamline the entire migration process for customers by using a cloud-based project management system. This has allowed CyberStreams to improve sales velocity, reduce project risk and complexity, simplify the management of the migration project, while providing a high quality migration project for customers.
Here is how the process works:
CyberStreams meets with their clients to establish a personalized plan for the migration. Allen indicated that proper planning is the essential element behind a successful client migration. "Assuming that everything has been properly discussed, once we're done with the Web Planner, we simply press play," he said.
After the planning process, SkyKick automates the migration sync, while CyberStreams monitors for any potential problems.
Once the migration sync is complete, customers are seamlessly synced to Office 365. From a customer standpoint there is no down time, no manually transferring information, and no struggling with complex software. As Allen stated, ”SkyKick allowed us to simplify our migration model; completing more migrations, with less risk of error, and at less cost to the customer.
To date, CyberStreams has completed around 20 migration projects using SkyKick. As an elite early adopter and partner, CyberStreams has been working with SkyKick through its beta testing. Now, SkyKick is ready for general release.
CyberStreams is optimistic about their partnership with SkyKick. Given the current demand for Office 365, IT partnerships like this will become increasingly necessary for meeting the needs small business. According to Microsoft, the number of SMBs using Office 365 grew by 150 percent since February 2012. This means that more and more users are going to require services like those offered by the CyberStreams/SkyKick partnership. "I would describe [demand for Office 365] as ‘blowing up’," Allen said, noting that as more businesses are showing interest, "It's a pretty big deal."
