ROKK Processing, the award winning manufacturer of high-end ice cream manufacturing machinery has increased its capacity to provide a truly complete and consultative customer service by bolstering its client facing sales team with the internal promotions of two long-standing employees, Mike Swift and Jonny Crowter.
After over four years with the company, senior engineer Mike Swift takes on the role of technical sales engineer where he’ll be responsible for expanding the market awareness of ROKK’s products, services and expertise through the management of projects and relationships with customers, and bringing critical customer requirements back into the development, production, and marketing processes. He’ll also regularly be meeting with customers in person, over the phone, email, or on site to assist in technical aspects of business development.
Mike Swift commented on his new appointment: “I’ve been a senior engineer with the company since 2009 but I’ve worked within the machine engineering sector for many more and over that time, I’ve built a vast bank of knowledge and experience. It’s this experience and knowledge that will not only help me to be able to sell equipment, but also help me to be able to accurately advise clients on the best machines and set-up for them and their business. In its simplest form, for example; one continuous freezer can look very similar to another but in terms of capability, and indeed suitability, they can be worlds apart. We just want to ensure the correct one is purchased with the end result being a happy customer.”
In the second of the two promotions, Jonny Crowter moves from the position of transport and warehouse manager to take up his new role of international sales executive where he’ll be responsible for general machine sales as well as expanding the volume of business completed in international markets.
“I’ve always been a ‘people person’ so I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into the new role, getting to know existing clients, and meeting new potential ones,” commented Jonny. “However, it’s not simply about selling a machine at machinery world, it’s about selling the right machine and turning customers into long term clients. I’ve learnt a lot about all the various machines during my time as transport and warehouse manager and feel that, that can be transferred to make me an extremely effective sales exec for the business.”
