Private Investigators London give information on investigation services they offer in light of recent BBC News Scotland article dated 28th April 2013: Gordon Matheson investigated over George square revamp.

In my professional opinion the investigation in this article came to a frustrating close for the RIAS. Investigations have a function to find out the truth of a situation which can be a good ending or a bad one depending on what an investigation unfolds

According to the BBC News Scotland article Gordon Matheson is understood to be being investigated by the Major Crimes and Public Protection unit after the police received a complaint that relates to the council’s decision in January to drop plans for a radical redesign of George square. Six versions of the square revamp went forward to a panel chaired by Mr Matheson following a Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) competition. The competition was won by John McAslan and Partners but Mr Matheson subsequently announced that the council would not be proceeding with the £15m contract.

The BBC News Scotland article went on to say that the RIAS lodged a complaint against Mr Matheson with the Public Standards Commissioner accusing him of misconduct which violated the councillor’s code of conduct. The SNP group on Glasgow City Council has lodged a motion calling on the local authority to "invite Audit Scotland to investigate whether councillors unduly influenced the procurement process in the case of the George Square redevelopment procurement process;" However, prosecutors decided to take no further action concluding that there was “insufficient evidence that a crime had been committed.”

Private Investigators London is often approached by businesses and members of the public to carry out an investigation on their behalf. It could be for a similar reason to that of this article - misconduct or it could be into fraud, benefits fraud, missing person, missing debtors or for matrimonial investigations into adultery or if a spouse is hiding assets in a divorce case. All investigations are carried out in a professional and discreet manor following many tried and tested methods.
