PetMeds® donated supplies and a raffle prize to help raise money for a needy humane society located in Georgia.

The products have been spectacular and have raised a lot of money at our event, which we are greatly appreciative!

1-800-PetMeds®, America’s Largest Pet Pharmacy, donates items to the Newnan-Coweta Humane Society located in Newnan Georgia. The Newnan-Coweta Humane Society works hard to house homeless pets, and educate the public about pet over-population. The humane society holds a low-cost spay/neuter clinic the third Saturday of every month and PetMeds® contributed.

In order for the Newnan-Coweta Humane Society to offer such affordable spay and neuter rates, they count on sponsors to donate goods for their annual Fur Ball fundraiser. So this month, PetMeds® helped out by donating items for the fundraiser’s silent auction, which helped make the fundraiser a true success.

"1-800-PetMeds® has been a great help with our 'Fur Ball Event' and has always helped me/NCHS when in need. The products have been spectacular and have raised a lot of money at our event, which we are greatly appreciative! Our Rescue means the world to me and I work on it every day, we/I appreciate all you have done for us and from the bottom of my heart — I want to say thank you all," said Tammy Morningstar, Newnan-Coweta Humane Society.

PetMeds® is no stranger to helping pets in need. In fact, the company also donated traditional goods such as flea and tick preventatives, vitamins and supplements, which help keep pets living in the humane society in optimal health until they find their forever home.

"Humane Societies like the Newnan-Coweta Humane Society really inspire us to give back to individuals who make it their duty to take care of needy pets. In addition, just like PetMeds®, the Newnan-Coweta Humane Society strives to educate people about the importance of pet health, so we jumped at the opportunity to help them," said Dana Baca, PetMeds® Donations Coordinator.

PetMeds® encourages everyone to read about featured animal shelters that are doing great things for pets in need.
