As client requests for our services increased in Pittsburgh, along with our ties to the City, we felt it the perfect time to bring our depth of talent and experience to the Pittsburgh market.
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) April 30, 2013
The international expertise of Planet Depos arrives in Pittsburgh, taking over the city with the latest and most advanced technology in the court reporting industry. Its brand promise, “We Make it Happen,” propelled Planet Depos as a leader in worldwide court reporting, legal videography, videoconferencing, and interpretation services. As the newest contributor to the current industrial renaissance in Pittsburgh, Planet Depos brings advancements to the legal field akin to those seen in the healthcare, biotech, and natural resource industries of the City. The company’s executive team, with deep roots in Pittsburgh, knows what technologies law firms need in order to win complex matters for their clients, earning them more legal business.
Chief Executive Officer and Pittsburgh native, Lisa DiMonte, states, “Our expanded presence in Pittsburgh fills two very specific needs of Pittsburgh trial lawyers: first, by offering paralegals and legal secretaries one central firm for all things related to the discovery process; and second, bringing the latest court reporting technology to busy Pittsburgh trial lawyers.” Technology such as web-based text and video-streaming via iPads or Smartphones, secure access to synchronized videos and video clip creation, and the use of iPads in the courtroom, soon will be a standard to Pittsburgh law firms.
DiMonte, with over 35 years’ experience in court reporting and litigation support, is a recognized industry expert and leader in the management and delivery of court reporting services. DiMonte shares, “We knew it was just a matter of time before we brought Planet Depos to my hometown.” She adds, “As client requests for our services increased in Pittsburgh, along with our ties to the City, we felt it the perfect time to bring our depth of talent and experience to the Pittsburgh market.”
Supporting DiMonte is an executive team also proud to call Pittsburgh home. Kathy DiLorenzo, a lifelong Pittsburgh resident, is Director of U.S. Court Reporting and Vice President of Business Development in Pittsburgh. She adds over 32 years’ experience in reporting and management of court reporters around the world to the Planet Depos team. DiLorenzo was one of the first few court reporters in the nation to become realtime certified. Her co-authorship of a best-selling realtime training book for court reporters worldwide and extensive resume, including her role of past President of the National Court Reporters Association, makes it no surprise that the realtime training lab at the Community College of Allegheny County is named in her honor. Kathy is responsible for the vetting and selection of court reporters across the U.S. Among them is Keith Shreckengast, Registered Professional Reporter, who was born and raised in Pittsburgh and has spent his entire professional career in the City. He is one of the talented reporters attorneys can look forward to seeing in their depositions.
Gregory L. Laubach, Esquire, General Counsel to Planet Depos, is a proud graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Class of 1984 and the Class of 1988 University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Laubach began his legal career with one of the nation’s leading law firms, primarily focusing on commercial litigation, while providing business planning and corporate advisory services to his clients. After a career in private practice, Greg served as General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer to a wholly-owned subsidiary of one of the world’s largest hospitality companies. A dynamic business executive and leader, Greg brings veteran expertise to the legal and business disciplines within Planet Depos.
"Planet Depos is both proud and excited to raise the standards of court reporting services throughout the Pittsburgh legal community," commented DiMonte.
